What is Kinesiology? 

Kinesiology is the study of human anatomy and movement. Kinesiology has a direct relationship with fitness and health, including developing exercise programs and helping individuals prevent injuries occurring, recover from physical restraints, and improve well-being. Kinesiologists are professionals who use knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and psychology to design programs for rehabilitation, fitness, and wellness.

Career Paths in Kinesiology: 

Registered Kinesiologist 

    • Work with clients recovering from injury 

    • Work in clinics, rehab centers or private practice 

    • $40,000-$81,000 annually 

Personal Trainer 

    • 1 on 1 training 

    • Clients and athletes 

    • $25-$80/hour 

Ergonomic Consultant 

    • Corporate or industrial settings to reduce workplace hazards/injuries 

    • $30-$60/hour
