What is a Chiropractor?
Chiropractor is a licensed healthcare profession that focuses on the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It primarily involves hands-on treatments, such as spinal adjustments, and may also include exercise programs and dietary advice as part of the overall care plan.
What do Chiropractors do?
Chiropractors care for patients in a way that’s similar to regular doctors. They begin by talking to the patient, reviewing their health history, doing a physical exam, and running tests to figure out what is wrong. Then, they create a treatment plan, begin care, and check on the patient’s progress over time. Chiropractors mostly treat issues related to muscles, bones, and joints. Their hands-on treatments can include stretching, steady pressure, or quick, gentle movements or adjustments to improve how joints move and work. These adjustments are most often done on the spine, but other areas of the body can also be treated in this way.
